I have Hashimoto's Thyroid Disease.
I found out in 2009.
Thinking back on the ten or so years before that, at least - I am sure I had it for a lot longer and didn’t realise it.
For years I suffered with extreme tiredness every morning.
Whole days with a complete lack of energy.
Things I’ve learned about myself in the last year.
- I can wake up at 6am and feel awake. This is something very new to me. And I still can't really believe it. I wake up and think I'll fall back to sleep soon - but nope. I lay awake for 30 minutes then get up and start the day!
I am sitting here 10 years on and there are some things I think you really need to know.
There is light at the end of the Hashimoto's tunnel - I know you've only recently been diagnosed but you will get to the bottom of all of this. I know you are strong and determined to feel better. At least...
